The first time I held a pump-action shotgun, I hated it. I like being able to use 3.5-inch shells for extra knockdown power and the ability to shoot slightly longer distances. I don't know much about the SXT but I have a Supernova that I love. Looking to maybe getting a benelli nova or a winchester sxp.i have shouldered the nova in the past but would have to go do it again.the 10yr warrenty is impressive. Benelli Nova vs Supernova.
The Nova is heavier than the 870 (870 is 7lbs, Nova is 8). My Benelli is my first and only Shotgun so far but it is easy to use, take down to clean, and has been 100% reliable. The winchester sxp looks nice never held one yet and not many reviews about it.not sure what winchesters warranty is either. It’s the most direct comparison to the Mossberg 500 and Remington 870. I have narrowed down my HD shotgun search to the nova with ghost ring sights and the supernova with ghost ring sights (no pistol grip). reviews on these would be great. I can't seem to find many more differences aside from the recoil, am I missing something?
